...and then the clouds fell

The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event.
You go to bed in one kind of a world
and wake up in another quite different,
and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?

Our first real snowfall occurred last night. This is most likely the snow that will last until Spring... temperatures are not expected to go above freezing this week and more snow is expected. Welcome winter to these northern parts.
We are covered in white... and as chilly as it is outside, the excitement of a wondrous snowy season has come over all of us.  We're looking forward to building snowmen, sledding down mini mountains, snowball fights, assembling snow forts, skiing and snowboarding in the Rockies, winter hiking with snowshoes, skating on the frozen lakes and ponds, snow angels... and speaking of angels.
This is my latest project at work. She is the angel for the nativity scene we put out by the skating rink. I still need to finish some of the details, but I think she's lovely.

Hope you are all enjoying your day.
